On an evening in October 2022, a group of first-year communication science students gathered in the common area of their student accommodation. Among them were Kevin (MARS founder), Bodan (MARS co-founder), and Kai (MARS editor), all preparing for their first statistics exam. Rather than panicking, they immersed themselves in debating statistical concepts and explaining correct SPSS interpretations to one another. After hours of struggle and frustration, they finally experienced an "Aha!" moment.

 

This marked the birth of the first Project MARS community!
